MEN'S RESOURCE CENTER

Yeah, we sell flowers. But we also care.

Look, the whole point of this site is helping guys fix things. Usually that means ordering a bouquet and writing a halfway decent apology note. But sometimes the stuff that needs fixing is bigger than a disagreement about whose turn it was to do the dishes.

Men deal with real stuff. Depression. Divorce. Isolation. The pressure to hold it together when everything's falling apart. And most of the time, we deal with it alone…because that's what we were told to do.

We'd rather you didn't.

This page exists because we think being a good man means knowing when to ask for help. That's not weakness.

A LITTLE HISTORY

The domain that brought you here may be TheMensResourceCenter.org and it has a story worth telling.

It originally belonged to a Philadelphia organization founded in 1979 by Gerald Evans, a social worker who believed men deserved dedicated mental health support at a time when almost nobody was talking about it. They were one of the first organizations in the country to do that. Quietly important work, for a long time.

They're still at it, just under a new name. The organization is now called the Men's Center for Growth & Change, and they continue to serve men and boys in the Philadelphia area with counseling, support groups, anger management programs, and more. If you're in the Philly area — or just want to see what good men's mental health work looks like — go check them out at MensCenterPhilly.org

We're proud to carry a small piece of their legacy forward on this domain.

ONE LAST THING

We know the rest of this site is mostly jokes about screwing up and buying flowers. That's intentional — we think humor is a legitimate way to get through hard moments, and we're not apologizing for it (after-all, we didn’t screw up).

But if you came here looking for something more than a bouquet recommendation, we hope this page helps. Talk to someone. Use these resources. And if you know a guy who's struggling, maybe send him this link instead of a dumb meme.

He'll probably appreciate it more than he lets on.

AND PLEASE…If have a resource you think should be on this page, reach out and we’ll add it to the list.
